From there, walking down to Largo Castello brings you to one of the finest viewpoints, overlooking the Itria Valley and centuries-old olive groves.
Don't miss the Museum of Preclassical Civilizations, home to the remains of Delia, a 25,000-year-old female skeleton found in nearby caves. Main streets like Via Cattedrale and Corso Vittorio Emanuele are full of craft shops, local ceramics and small restaurants serving taralli and extra virgin olive oil.
